Hi, i had four bc boxes in my escort before doing an mtx75 conversion, one of them lost 1st gear, one was very worn diff bearings, the other two the first motion shaft bearing went tits up (they are a very small bearing for the loads involved, and you cant increase the diameter of them as they come up against the other shaft) Im just curious to know how much ford changed the box to make the ib5, bigger first motion shaft bearings? bigger diff bearings? Does anyone know what CTS do to make the bc box uprated, its always puzzled me, as the only thing i can think of is they put in a wider 1st motion shaft bearing?
