Cars is worth £2000 -£2500 on a car D no more.

Forget what people think they're worth its what someone will pay - I was looking a few weeks ago an can quite easily get a straight car for about the same money - I went to look at a 53plate one for £2200 but it was a bit tatty and I need a car for work.

The garage are having a laugh on the money they've quoted- £150 for recovery is fair depending on the time they came out and to whip the cambelt cover off and spot the belt is fucked £100 tops UNLESS they've took the engine apart - in which case you're fucked as it will take a while to do.

Breaking it aint an option as they dont break well - theres nothing worth any real money apart from the bumpers everything else is generic clio.

The engine and management is the only bit worth any money and your engine is dead.

Tough call but I'd have it back off em for what you can negotiate £notes will speak volumes and take a grand for it on ebay and nothing less.
