LX, Zetec and Ghia all do though. You will need to buy a remote key and a blank blade for it. Any 'blue chip' keyfob remote will do the job, a 'red chip' one definitely won't work though, these used to be able to be picked up from eBay for around £10 - £15 and a blank keyblade for the remote is a fiver from Ford. You're looking at around £6 - £8 for a locksmith to cut your new key based on the code they can depict from your current one.

Once you have one working keyblade and one cut-but-not-coded-remote key you need to go to Ford or anybody who has the same tech as a Ford dealer (a Ford specialist garage probably) who will then need to recode your 2 keys and your car all to each other..............this unfortunately is the expensive bit and the only bit you absolutely cannot get away without doing.

Once you have 2 fully coded keys you can purchase more remote keys (Jaguar flip keys work as well as I have converted one as to work with my Focus) and blank blades and have up to 10 keys coded to your car - all of which you can do yourself.

Silly question - can you not go back to whoever you bought the car from and ask them to find the remote key? Would save yourself around £100!
Thanks for the reply mate. It's a special edition Black model. We've worked out it has got the remote central locking by testing the key in the ignition and it bonged.

Best price I've got is £85 so I think I'll go with that.
