Default Auxiliary air valve

Tried this long winded in the RS turbo section so
simples:
Tried 3 different ones now, pointless exercise since there's no volts
going to them:
a) does the thinner red/black feed from the fuel pump relay go direct
to the aav - have continuity but 0.11v? Assuming its not a 25 amp feed
so where does it get reduced.. is there possibly a 'thingy' to take it to 10?
b) if I stick the damn things direct to a 12v battery, they should close?
seems simpler than crushing a solid plastic pipe on a car that barely runs
anyway

ps brown KE relay in fuse box - 87 pin 1 ecu, 85 ground, 86 .. 10 amps
but to what?
Tuesday I start tearing the loom apart, Thursday gets broken for expensive
scrap
