Default update

I have removed the head this afternoon. The bottom end looks pretty good. The bores show no signs of wear and no marks or scoring. The pistons do move a little movment in the bores, no knocking or slapping, just very slight movement which im assuming is normal. The pistons do have a couple of marks on them. At first i thought the were valve cut outs, but i think its where the valves have hit the pistons at some point.

Its a 200 block with 2wd head, so I imagine the bottom end has been bought from an engine thats had a snapped belt.

The pistons read Sp0.05 on one side and 90.775 on the other. Am I right in thinking that these are standard pistons and that it must still be on a standard bore???

Cylinder head has had a skim before, its reading 138.5 odd, nearly 138.6. Valves look straight and show no signs of being damaged, and all mating surfaces look good. I have measure the head surface with a flat metal rule and some feeler gauges, and all seem to be within Fords tollerances.

Im going to buy a full group A gasket kit including Head bolts and valve seals. Bolt it all back together and see how it goes.
