just bought a escort mk5 van with rst engine in it its the old mfi set up i thinkk its over fueling as its running like a sack of s**t at the min its like its running on 3 cylinders sometimes but ok when its mid range
on tickover its very lumpy, & it seems to start boosting nicely but then the power dies around 4k rpm,
theres no smoke from turbo etc i belive its purely fueling,
the lad i got it off has just replaced the metering unit with a ebay special,
is there any way of adjusting the fuel mixture on the metering unit ?
as it is hard to start, especialy once its hot it just about ticks over on its own steam but to get it to rev im having to feather the throttle lightly to be able to drive it anywhere
any help iwill be apreciated
& pics of things to try or detailed explanation would be great as its the first rst ive had
