I was thinking about flat shift today and figured it would be a great way to hold boost mid gear change.

I knew that was how anti lag worked, but i thought launch control was simply like a fake rev limiter? i.e. you can mash the throttle with the clutch in and it will only rev to say 4k? Because you foot is on the throttle it would still be spooling the turbo?
You can do it wither way, both have the same effect (chucking un burnt fuel down the exhaust). however als will retard the timing rather than cut ignition (generally as far as i know).

If you sit in your car and rev it (off load) you will still make no boost, launch control is just anti lag, full throttle and a rev limit, letting you dump the clutch with some boost.

This is launch control

this, video, is just fucking cool and has loads of anti lag in it.... when ken lifts off and the car pops all over the place... thats anti lag. At the start of the vid when the car is static and pops, thats launch control.
