jokes aside,

launch control and anti lag are different and i don't think the car in that video had launch control, it actually sounds more like its on its rev limit.

Launch control - makes boost at a stand still before a hard launch
ALS - makes boost when the car is moving but off throttle/boost.

They both work in similar ways, generally by retarding the timing to chuck loads of unburnt fuel down the exhaust into a hot turbo and then shove some air in as well (air injectors are often used in hard core als systems, but an open throttle will work too) and BANG the hot turbo does the rest, combustion is going on in the turbo like a mini gas turbine (no quite but sort of) spooling it up and making boost. #

A rev limit can make a car pop and bank just like that to, you skip an ignition pulse and chuck unburned fuel into a hot exhaust with a WOT

Rob,
I knew that was how anti lag worked, but i thought launch control was simply like a fake rev limiter? i.e. you can mash the throttle with the clutch in and it will only rev to say 4k? Because you foot is on the throttle it would still be spooling the turbo?
