Default Low voltage lighting

We have this in our hall - 3x 20w 12v halogens on a pair of power cables.

The traditional transformer died and I replaced it with a 60va electronic transformer that lasted for a couple of days,

Replaced that tonight with a 105va version and nothing happens at all.

I know I have 240v going into the transformer but the instructions say it needs a load and a special meter to test it - certainly my multimeter isn't getting a reading at the output side.

Any ideas, or where I can get a 60va traditional transformer?.
