i work for ahem.......motorworld!! we sell yuasa batteries these are good batteries. over the years we have tried several companies but have ended going back to yuasa. they are the biggest battery company no one has ever heard of!! im not sure if they still make an 095 as a lot of companies are dropping the ford fit, however i do have adaptors. or you could do what i did and change to round terminal then you have multiple choices. i would recommend an 075 or the more expensive 096. they both high power batteries and are of a low maintanence, be careful with maintanance free even though they sometimes have 5 year warranties on them they rarely last. one question do you keep your car garaged etc where there are mains power? my cossie can be parked for months at a time and i use a trickle charge which plugs directly to the mains, it keeps the battery topped up but not over charges them. motorworld sells them too and i have fitted a q/r plug on mine too. im afraid all retailers will insist on the receipt but did you pay by card? if you can prove you spent money at halfords to that amount with a bank statement etc they will honour your warranty as long as you dont say the car is parked for long periods at a time which will invalidate the warranty as its seen as neglect im afraid. find proof even if you know it was for something else, as long as it is of similar value still try. halfords can be quite relaxed about warranties as they dont like bad publicity, i used to run the parts section in halfords 11 years or so ago and have replaced batteries that way!
i dont know if there any motorworlds near you and if they are any good too. we have very good shops and very bad shops! but if you buy a battery there and a trickle charger im sure they will offer you some discount.
a tip for everyone with batteries and warranties. when you buy the battery get the receipt and laminate it then stick it on the back of the battery, then if you have any problems you have the receipt!!!!!
