Haha, yea you could do it yourself... I totally agree, but limiting yourself to a car that isn't normal to see busting out 9 second 1/4 mile passes is a wee bit different to buying a mega unstressed but massive potential, V8 engined, muscle car and wanging on a huge lump of NOS?

To me (obviously the budget in my example is wildly different), thats a bit like setting yourself a target of hitting a genuine 200mph (not Brunters here Rod, just reaching 200mph.. on a road, verified by proper gear). Then going out, buying a Ferrari 550 Maranello which has a top speed of 199mph and throwing on a bit of NOS to achieve 200mph....... rather than limiting the project to a car that does 150-160mph and hasn't got the greatest dynamic design; then seeing if you can reach the target set.

Besides, AndyF trying to use anything other than a Subaru is like wearing a Turban in the shower, wrong.

Cheers,
Grant
