Well from my point of view, my Escort Cossie is my hobbie. It’s an every day car, and does approximately 105 miles a day. There’s always something to be done, upgrade this, upgrade that, not enough horsepower etc. I thought I could be happy with Stage 1 (280 BHP) but have ended up with 380 BHP plus big brakes etc. (You’ll always seem to want more.) It’s a driver’s car, and as such should be driven. (As opposed to a poser’s car.) Track days take some more out of the car, tyres, pads etc. So it all depends on how you drive it, and what you are looking for out of the car.
