If I were in a position to need to buy a short block such as yours, I'd pay more possibly up to £1K, but that's just my opinion, by the time you add all the parts cost up I think it is still a good deal.
I'm just rebuilding my 205 block at the moment, that did 200,973 miles and is still on std crank big ends and mains, and now 1st oversize pistons, crank was polished but really could have got away without that.
