Didn't read that one!!as if anyone DOSENT know it's "ringing" but in this case it's not being done using stolen cars.chav man is right in saying it's what car theives do but that's not the case here is it?also he was harping on how "clever" Mot testers are that they know about all the tricks used to bypass abs systems etc and if they saw a botch,they'd investigate the whole car further.

No Mot tester I've ever known would do that unless it's blatantly obvious or trying to generate work.had an instance the other day with a vitara,Mot tester refused to do a pre cat test unless we had confirmation from the manufacturer that it was a pre cat engine,despite there being no cat,lambda or even injection system on it!The engine code proved it was a Spanish import and was never fitted with a cat.he told the guy the engine needed a rebuild as he'd never get it within emmissions as there was no adjustment whatsoever on the vehicle,it's a carb for fucks sake!! Took me ten minutes to get it in spec for pre cat,the Mot tester was just being a nob,needless to say I didn't take it there for the original Mot!!It turned out afterwards as well that there's different rules for suzukis as they won't release emmissions data to vosa so therefore because of the age of the vehicle it would have needed a pre cat test no matter what!!!
