Sorry............too bloody wound up when I posted earlier - should have stated make and model.

Car is 1998 2.0 Ghia

It's done 156,000 and I have no history which suggest the clutch has been replaced, so if the box is coming out a complete new clutch is going back in.

Just wanted a heads up on what I should expect to pay really so I know if I'm being ripped off when I call around tomorrow for quotes.

I'd still consider doing it myself if it's really expensive - I'm just out of practice and don't own many tools these days.
Is it a difficult job and do I need any special tools ?
