Something to note that not alot of people do. mondeos, escort turbos, cosworths etc have larger bore pistons on the calipers which when fitted to standard escorts causes longer pedal travel (I first noticed this when putting cossy brakes on a 1.1 fez, it was shocking!!!). to compensate this you will require a larger master cylinder, any mondeo one should be fine as they all run the same caliper bore.

If you want bigger brakes still, calipers from a st170 focus or mk3 mondeo with discs from st170 are good, 300mm!! (mondeo calipers are easier and cheaper to get hold of)
thats some top advice there matey, many thanks.

the disc diameter is the 280mm with the correct "887 & 888" calipers.

the pedal travel is a bit excessive any way on my van as the fluid will need changing (which will be done), soonce it is hopefullt ill have better braking.

ive had a trial fit on some spare hubs ad the only thing i can see i need to do is drill the mounting holes out 12mm and i need souch shorter banjo bolts.
