i prefer the later style if im honest but i have always ran early ones so i can have some heater vent gauges, as the later one you have to chop about and bond the mounts in

later one also looks more modern aswell

and adjustable coloums wont bolt straght in, i just converted my 88 xr4x4 to adjustable coloum and had to modify the steering coloum mount moles so the coloumn would clear as its wider and obvioulsy moves up and down, but its a simple job to fit and a nice touch i think
