I was gonna mount it solid to engine/gearbox since pipework can be solid too as it'll all move together.
its on rubber for a reason mate,you dont want it to crack and let water leak into the inlet side,if it leaks from inside and you dont know then it will lead to engine failure.just buy the focus airbox bushes,there only around £10 for all 3.
