As soon as you get to the reception ask for a room on the train station facing side, and try to avoid the first floor rooms - its a lot quieter apparently as your then the furthest away from the action downstairs.

Take a load of packets of those little yellow spongy ear plugs, I used to virtually live in hotels with my job a few years ago and they are a god send - I always take some with me now whenever I stay away, they drown out most of the heavy noise and easy to sleep with them in
