massive advantage,

mine lift the car 22.5" off the floor and because they are to the side you never have the problem of them being in the way when working on axles/gearbox/zorst engine etc,

also they are garaunteed not to slip like an axle stand on an axle or chassis leg,

only dissadvantage i can see is that you need a jack with a minimum lift of 700mm so the cheapest jack is a 45kg sealey at £150

make sure you run the tube through fully from outer to inner sill and reinforce it on both sides or it will buckle under weight, the stands will most likely come with the kit or just buy the fitting kit and weld your own stands up as they are not cheap at £280 for stands and fitting kit,

but well worth it

ignore the crappy axle stand it was holding the gearbox in place while making the gearbox mount.
