A trick used by some naughty people is to keep setting it off so you leave it off, just a thought.
For anyone that has de locked the car, you can alwasy hide a connector someone so you cna power it up if needed due to flat battery to get doors open etc.
I would just put the feed through my trailer socket on tow bar as the 12S is connected direct to live and earth.

i am very aware of this trick and always goto the car to reset the alarm and not just do this from the house. it was because of that reason i was on gaurd most the night but the alarm has not done it since
so i'm keeping a eye out tonight too but it may of just been a isolated occurance
.
as to the de-locked issue i always planned on putting the connector in the front bumper behind the number plate
