Just dont forget the majority of partnerships break up within the first 2 years, so forget how good mates you are and make sure from the start everything is clear and transparent with everything you set out to do, every penny you invest and how things are split. Contracts etc also required.

Forget about making loads of money and take every year as it comes. Make sure no matter how small the job is or how little YOU have quoted for it, you do it at the very highest of standards you possibly can even if it means you only break even on the job or even lose on it, because you have miss quoted, as one or two bad jobs could bring down your rep a lot faster than you have built it up! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

Any way other than the above i reckon youd do wicked mate as your a sound bloke and know all the right people so good luck....
One word of advice though,and thats make sure you get a good size place or atleast some good safe parking space as a 3 car unit will do your head an wont be big enough...
