Default I need some help please

Right my cars book in for a set up tommorow afternoon in readyness for ford fair but ive got a weird problem i cant get my head around.
From cold the starter motor turn the engine over fine but once its warm it wont swing it over for love nor money it sounds like when youve got a flat battery and theres not enough umph to turn it over but my gauge in the cars showing the battery is fine and also when i put a multimeter on the battery its fine.
I thought it was the heat from the turbo had cooked the starter motor so i bought a new one and its still exactly the same.
I had a browse on here and some body was having a similar problem which turned out to be the lead from the battery so ive changed that aswell and its still the same.
I got my friend to turn the car over whilst i was looking at the starter and it seems to be arking out and sparking across the terminals which leads me to think its an earth at fault so ive took off and cleaned the earth strap from the gearbox to the inner wing and the strap from the rocker cover to the inner wing and its still the same.
Since this is my first rs turbo engined car should i have another earth strap from the starter maybe to the inner wing or one from the engine block itself to the body ? Or am i missing some thing really stupid ? Im really stumped on this one and if i cant get it sorted i wont be taking the old girl to ford fair so please help me

Cheers mark.
