I have bled the pump but its still the same.Whilst driving normally its not too bad but when im at a stop or going slow its very heavy and has just started making a groaning noise occasionally too.
I was considering trying some of that Lucas power steering stop leak stuff as it says it helps stiff racks. At £9 it may be worth a try i suppose.
I must admit i havent looked at the power steering rad yet.

I have seen on ebay some old stock geniune Ford racks that may be of use.
