Just to clarify.

on the 3dr cosworth the central locking is managed only from the drivers door lock, if you open the passenger door or hatch with a key it does not activate the central locking.

Therefore if the Ford actuator in the drivers door is not working then the entire central locking system does not work. Alarms fitted to 3drs that also operate the central locking from the alarm fob use a stand alone actuator which sits in the drivers door and connect to the locking rods, when the fob is activated the stand alone solonoid pulls the rods which in turn then activate the ford solonoid which then operates the central locking, so the Ford solonoid is the first thing to check after basic checks on fuses etc. Put some direct power into it and see if it activates, if it does not then there is the problem, if it does then start checking along the loom back to the control boxes behind the glove box.

The 3dr does not have an in car operation for the rear hatch.

Hope that helps
