My experience of the Mondeo was that in 2006 I bought an 03 2.0 TDCi Ghia X Estate with 32k on the clock and FFSH.

I serviced it every 12 months and when I sold it in 2010 it had 74K on the clock. Only parts I changed was a set of tyres, a set of front discs and pads and a wheel bearing.

Bloody good car IMO and feels a lot more powerful than 130bhp, the torque really shoves it along.

Make sure you get the 6 speed though if you go for a diesel, early ones had 5 speed and are nowhere near as good on fuel

If you find one with FFSH and no home mechanic has buggered around getting his mate to 'recode' the injectors etc then you should be fine. Too many horror stories about one of the best selling cars around. Proper good workhorse.

Oh yeah, I bought mine for £6k!!! and sold it for £4250 in march this year, fookin cheap motoring
