I have a set of Show standard FRST recaros....I didnt wanna be anal and clean them, but i decided to be curious and have a go!!!
I took the front seats and door cards out and sprayed them with pound shop upholstery shampoo and warm water...left for 15 mins to bed in...I then borrowed a mates carpet vac which uses 2001 carpet cleaner, and has a small stair cleaning brush with it. (This squirts water at the seat aswell)...
Carefully rub the nossle into the fabric in an up and down motion, then wipe with a clean rag, and leave to dry, for the day......
I was shocked at the amount of dirt that came out of the seats and door card fabric, ( a whole brown tank of muddy water)...and these seats everyone said were concourse anyway, before the clean....!!!!!
There is another more tedious way...that is carefully dismantling the whole seat, and removing the fabric, (its not stiched on, but held by pastic clips and a few metal rings on the rear, and side sleave rods to hold in place down the side bolsters...
Simply then place fabrics on a cold wash in the washing machine, drip dry, re-assemble and admire your fresh "summer breeze" (optional ) smelling recaros...
Hope this helps!! regards...Edd
