Can some one help.
Took my car to garage about a month ago to have some water hoses done (the fidley ones needing manifold removed to fit). The car had previously started perfectly and idled at 800-900rpm. when i picked it up the car started as though it was missing or as though it was struggling to idle correctly. It would then starighten out fine after 4 seconds and idle at 11oorpm. Some one said it may be the ISCV but i removed this it seemed clean ish and moved freely.It also made no difference if i unplugged the ISCV. Last night i started the car and the revs went through the roof all the way round to 6000rpm. To get me home i unplugged the iscv and this brought the revs down to 2500rpm. It was like cruise control. Rang Ford dealer and they said the car is too old school and their diagnostic kit would not be compatible with this car. Realy stuck and sick of not having people who know what they are talking about. Scarborough has no decent expertise to fall back on. Tried to get to the TPS today but it is a bit of a mission and no body seems to have replacement items in stock. Can anybody help please.
