Right - i've been on the phone to another fellow 'ford-nut'. He's done a 1.8 ZVH on carbs, and reckons that so long as my head hasn't been skimmed much in the past, if i take 2mm off the head and bolt it all together, I can just bolt all the CVH EFi bits back on and it will run happily provided i fit a chip to the ECU and possibly an adjustable fuel pressure reg (or FSE boost valve thing)
Does this sound about right?
Can't be arsed to get it all done if its just going to self destruct on the first start...
Sounds good to me as I can get good used zetec bottom ends a lot easier than good cvh bottom ends if it does nail the pistons....
Any info much appreciated - as im raring to get de-greasing/cleaning/modifying etc....
