Don't see why he can't jsut either unbolt the reg from the rail if its 4x4 or just un jubilee clip the reg if its a 2wd and leave the moulded fuel pipe on it?
As it stands all the fuel lines are on the garage floor under the car connected to the fuel rail (it is 4x4)

I need it all stripped down to polish the rail up as I'm buftying the whole car

I could live with a jubilee clip on the regulator and inlet if I have to cut them off but my main problem is seperating the flexy high pressure fuel line from the hard fule pipes that run under the floor pans
