Default ZVH Question

Right, as i think my current EFi N/A cvh is on the brink of going ka-put - im after something to replace it with while i rebuild it.

I have in my possesion :

* A spare (prepped mint) 89 EFi CVH head.
* Head gasket kit for aformentioned head

My mate has (in his garage - doing nothing) :

* A good 1800 Zetec Bottom end.
* various escort zetec parts (water pumps, sumps, etc....)

...can you see where im going here folks...

Will it mate up ok and run ok as a 1800 N/A ZVH or is the compression ratio gonna be wrong for normally aspirated? And is the N/A EFi wiring/injection system going to power it ok?

Read various guides all over the net - the conversion seems easy enough - but they all seem to mention turbo's.

Would make for an easy swap if so. Could build the new engine out of the car, then drop the old cvh out, stick this one in, bolt all my standard manifolds to it, away she goes.

Anyone pops the bonnet - it looks like a 1600CVH...

Any info - much appreciated....
