LEGAL, what a joke it's called fronting, a question you WILL get asked is who is the main user of the car if you say you are and it's for a son/daughter you've just commited insurance fraud.
Insurers are VERY wise to this, too much easily obtainable info on whereabouts of the car.
My mate and his mum got stung by this very thing, he then tried to convince the insurer that despite the mum having 2 other cars in her name(sisters/mums) it was really her car and she was the named driver, bit hard when he even took it abroad with him to germany when he worked there, they also had some piccies of it entering and leaving the army camp he was at for 3 weeks in a row, when confronted he fessed up, and is now paying back £13,000 damages as insurer charged him.
