Yes i thought you might say that, but i have measured the cam lift using a dial gauge and My 1989 XR3i that ran wonderfully with no rattles had less lift than my Std RS Turbo cam.
The figures are.
XR3i = .509
RS Turbo = .603
RS 1600i = .673
This may explain why the early XR3i feels better with a late turbo cam fitted.
I will work out the Valve lift later when i have more time.
