its been proven quite a lot of engines can be crow barred into that engine bay and if you dont mind a slightly bigger hike in costs and ballache then consider something like a Puma racing engine or at least something 1600 in size and you will see it transformed.

proper rockets when you have at least a 1600 to play with and they will outhandle a great number of performance cars with ease.
