2 BAR MAP is standard item, when you go to stage 2 or above you need a 3 BAR MAP sensor, Atmospheric pressure is +1BAR so the 2 BAR can only see +1 BAR positive (Boost) pressure you then have 2 BAR total, whereas a 3 BAR can see +2 BAR boost.

You have a 3BAR map sensor otherwise you would not have the boost you do it would also be dangerous, I would check the actuator it should be a -31 or -34 type, the springs go weak after a while.
