I run seperate relays for the lift pump and the High pressure pump. It means you can fill the swirl pot by switching on the ignition and activating the lift pump by a dash switch, once the swirl pot is full you can activate the high pressure on another switch. I was told 044's hate to be run dry hence this method to ensure they always have a supply of fuel.
