Morning Chaps,

Can you give me some advice please.

The van was crunching into 2nd gear and went into the garage at the weekend and i had a new clutch and a S/H Gearbox put in. I picked the van up yesterday and i'm not particuly happy. Can you help me out with some advice on the following problems please?

There is the most horrendous grinding / droning sound coming from the van when driving. It is only doing this when accelerating but when i put the clutch in it gores away?

When i put the Van into reverse, it "thuds" into place and the van jerks back?

The gearstick is quite "floppy" when its in neutral - like When pushing it from side to side. feels like there is no spring type thing in there. Still selects gears fairly well but in the old box it didnt feel as loose.

I am going to ring the garage that did the work and get them to look at this but dont want them to try and fob me off with "well its an old box so what do you want us to do etc..."

The garage supplied the New clutch and S/H box.
