hi all, i sold my car on sunday but still left the insurance running. I asked a friend of mine (motor trader) if i could borrow a car. I was driving threw town when all of a sudden the police pulled me over. They said the car flagged up as no insurance. I told them it was on a motor trade policy and i was insured to drive 3rd party only on my policy. The car was seized i have now found out i was not covered 3rd party only. I have only held my driving licence since 02/02/09 and if i get 6 points i will loose my licence. I need my licence as my nan has alzimers and i need to take her to hospital and also i am a mechanic. It was a genuine mistake i made and have never been in any bother with the law before,i was just wondering if i appele against my licence might i get off with 5 points ?
Also how long does it take to go to court and will i have to retake my whole driving test again ? Thank all alex.
