Tried to turn the crank but it was not as easy as it had just been getting the pulley to TDC and did not want to force it. I guess I could try your suggestions....worst case scenario the head comes off anyway but I think the valve has dropped past the bottom of the guide.
just be careful bringin git back up as if the valve has gone pass the guide then the likely chance is that you will probably bend the valve or score the piston.
