Shame really. they used to be shit hot. my dads hilux is literally bulletproof and 10 years old it still starts after sitting in a corner for 9 months for the "tip run" when the back is full of shit. we had numerous japanese cars when i was a kid and al were brilliant for the job, boring but reliable though.
i feel the same about all new cars though. there too complex in my opinion. some things just aren't needed. i really honestly prefer pre 90's engineering. if my dads cars break down its a recover and get it to a garage who has the computer to fix it job. if my orion or cortina break its a cable tie or throttle tweak to get me home. i know they're a different class of vehicle but its all bollocks. what good is a luxury car if it refuses to start because of a bulb out or the key tells it not to! ridiculous.
