I'm not saying this to provoke you in any way, But studies in southern America have shown that the lower a persons IQ, the stronger thier religieous beliefs. People of general higher intelligence need things explaining, they like to ask questions find out the way the world around them works, rather then just being told how it supposedly works. They also like to make their own decisions about how they live their life as apposed to being, again, told. This again can be linked to intelligence, finding your own way rather then being lead.

So the statement "people who dont believe in god are thick" couldnt be further from the truth as most people who don't belive in god are capable of making up their own mind on matters. Where as believers need to be told in the same way that a young child needs to be told how to do things.
