How have you measured it? The mpg-ometers are more of a guide than an accurate measure. Run it for more miles, and then see what it says.

Brim it, record the miles, then brim it again to get a more accurate measure of mpg.

I wouldn't start worrying unless I had a good few tanks, all reading low. Mid 30s around town isn't exactly great but it's not really shocking.
