Ok girlfriend wants something more practical as her Mini is a total joke if you need to carry anything in the boot or transport more than two people in it... she's looked at and driven a couple of 2006/2007 Mazda 6 models with the 2.0D engine.

Are there any known issues? How likely is the car to suffer from these? ...anything else people could suggest for around 7k at a dealer which is reliable, economical and a little different from a hum-drum billy basic Mondeo or Vectra??
