Default Decision on rebuilding a RS

Decisions

The last threw years have had some amazing cars in the garage in my opinion, From 1973 RS Porsche to 1965 427 AC cobra not in plastic, 1980 Escort RS 2000, 1974 MK 1 Escort RS 2000 , 1995 4x4 Cavalier Track car, and countless new cars that don’t cut it no more for me I like the old stuff.

So here I am wondering what to do as I have now a 1986 RS Cosworth 3 door and injoy this car more than all the others in fact as I am moving and only have space for one extra car I have sold the rest and kept the RS Cosworth as this car is a real drivers car even above the new ones.

So it is off to the Island of Malta for the RS and a complete refurbishment, But I would like to no your opinion on what would be good and what not to do and advice on parts that you would change and why.
I want to use the car daily once finished for touring as I have planed a tour of Europe with the car visiting as many tracks as possible and some of the know roads . I need a fast road car capable of keeping up with the new cars of today on track and road and to be comfortable for long distances.
I am asking a lot, but I enjoy this car than others to drive and I have looked and tried most and this one for me is the ultimate drivers car.

Many thanks
Zak
