well i have bought a new lead and have conectted it to the alternator with the old one still on, running the wire under the slam panel.
the car started much better just alone, and the voltage on my secs monitor is just about ticking over to 13.8 volts, which is better than the 13 volts it used to have.

and when i put the rad fans on it only went down to 13 volts.

i then put everything on lights fog light front and rear and both the window heaters etc etc and it dropped to 11.5 volts, which was to be expected i suppose as the battery has not been getting its proper charge lately.

anyway whilst i was out getting the wire i bought a battery charger, which read once i put it on charge bearly half full. so i shall see what the out come is when it is fully charged from the chargers read out.

hoping for 14 volts at which point i will be happy.
