Escort RS turbo squirting oil out of bleed valve?
I've recently purchased a 1989 Escort RS turbo. According to its history was a previous show winning car winning 1st prize in its class at the Ford Fair in 98,99 and 2000. The car in running a stage 1 chip, which i have disconnected as i am a standard car type of guy!
My plan is to put the car back to standard over time. At the moment once you take the car over 4500/5000 rpm starts bellowing blue smoke out the exhaust. On closer inspection, the metering unit is full of mobile 1 and a big puddle which has squirted out of the bleed valve. The oil was every where, it had even filled the almo valve and the pace intercooler.
I have cleaned all the pipes, valves, intercooler and bottom of the metering unit out but problem keeps coming back.
Can you please help solve this problem? What should i do? Where should i go?
