can anyone advise me on a break upgrade, i´m wanting something for a st220, the usual things such as 330mm ap kit is coming in at £1700 which is well over my budget and i just can´t find a second hand set.

what is it that makes the kit specific to each model, obviously i realise its going to need to be 5 stud but would a kit for a focus or escort have the same stud pattern?
i heard someone say that is possible to collect each part seperatly and just have a bracket fabricated, but i didnt really understand what they ment.
could i really collect discs, callipers, lines and pads seperately and then have a bracket made up to make it fit the mondeo, what bracket is this and would it be expensive?

so basically could i get a set made for another ford and adapt it fairly easy?

sorry if i´ve made it sound more complecated than need, i just dont really know what i´m talking about
