Hmm...
The only pictures i have on Photobucket arent going to tell you much, but here they are.....




As you can see, the flametrap spout is quite long and the pipe will have a clip on it also. The bottom of it will also have an oil return pipe going into the sump on yours, so if you want to remove the whole trap, this pipe has to be removed at the sump end first.

I suggest levering at the pipe stub end to rotate the assembly into a better position for access and then removing the clip off your right angled pipe or literally cutting it off. The clip should be just a spring clip so will pull off if your lucky.
