Funny this, had my first service this morning. Car is one year old and has done just shy of 2000 miles. After reading threads on other forums etc I decided to inspect the tyres on the inner edges when I cleaned it the other week. I did notice more apparent wear on the inners and mentioned this to my dealer prior to the service. His stance over the phone was that if the car had been returned to him within a month of taking delivery he would track it up gratis however as I waited till the first service there would be a charge.

Knowing the master tech at the dealer he inspected the car this morning and said after putting the guages on the car it is out of tolerance! Service desk guy re itterated regards to a charge etc and said for all he knew I could have kerbed the car or hit a large pothole!

I was about to contact Customer services just after I saw this thread.

The said master tech said they have had 2 in for tyre changes recently. One at 12k and one at 6K Fook knows what the owners said but I would be happy!

Due to relatively low miles on mine and low inpending miles I thought worse case I would have to take the tracking hit out of my own pocket and monitor the wear.

Will speak to customer services and see what flanel I get...
