My original coilpack device I designed 4 years ago is a board
that takes its signals from INSIDE the ecu by soldering 5 wires to certain
internal components.
Cheaper but requires to be fitted by ME.
Could be fitted by others at own risk if suitably skilled in
soldering and electronics.

The newer device requires NO ecu internal connections,
is bigger and more expensive.

Either device does not require ANY mods to the chip or ecu hardware at all.
